Well, we finally got our own place and we are loving it. Back in December we decided to build a house and we closed the middle of February. It went so fast. Ashlynn and Austin are loving it. Although Austin does occasionally ask if we will move his bed back to Papa's. And after we visit my mom and dad, Ashlynn always says, 'I really miss Grandma and grandpa.' So even though they like the new house, they sure miss my mom and dad.
Anyway, for those of you living in Houston, Pennsylvania, Colorado, or Saudi Arabia, here is a picture of the new place. Feel free to come and visit anytime. Eventually, I will get around to putting up pictures of the inside but for now this will have to do.

Funny Kid things

So the other day Ashlynn was doing her Cinderella puzzle and it was late so I said, 'Ash hurry we need to go to bed.' And Ashlynn says to me, 'Well would you quit talking to me so I can relax.'

I was talking to my mom the other day and Ashlynn was trying to get my attention and she kept saying, 'mom, mom, mom', finally she stopped and she said, 'Mom focus.'

Austin doesnt have to many funny stories yet, but I'm sure he will soon. He is the funniest and craziest little kid ever. It's so funny to watch him watch basketball games and listen to him cheer. He really gets into it.

I always tell him that he needs to sit down in the car or I will call the police and the other day in the car Ashlynn hit him and he started crying and said, 'mom ashlynn hit me. call the police.'

As hard as it is, I love things like this. I love my litte kiddies. They are just so funny. They drive me nuts most of the time but I love em to death.

One more thing. I was watching Halle over the weekend and was taking care of her (getting her dressed or something) and then later we were talking about babies (not trying to tell anybody anything here!) and I said, 'Ash do you want another baby at our house?' And she said, 'no'. When I asked her why not she said, 'because it's too much work for you.'

So here are a few things that did in December. These pictures are all out of order but since I have not been big into blogging lately and am just impressed with myself that I am even doing a post, I dont really care what order the pics are in.

This in all the kids with my mom and dad on christmas morning. Yes, I know, I do look great in the background.

It finally happened!

Well Austin finally cracked his head open. Not that we were excited by any means, but because of how crazy and wild he is we were just surprised that it hasn't happened sooner.
Anyways, the poor little guy was jumping on our bed and fell off and hit his head on the dresser. At the doctor he told Ashlynn, 'no more monkeys jumping on the bed.'
When we ask him what happened, he says, 'I jump on bed and hit drawer. I go to doctor and get bandaid.' He ended up getting 1 stitch underneath and 7 on top. He seems to be just fine now. Except he did wake up and say that his head hurt. At the doctors office he kept saying that he wanted to show papa and halle is owie.
I'm hoping he's learned a little lesson, but some how I dont think this is the last of the injuries.

So I have completely put off blogging again so I have another big update to do. Here is what has been going on the past couple of months:

We went to Disney princesses on Ice with Ashlynn's cousins. It was so dang fun! And it was fun to see Ashlynn so excited to see the princesses.

This is Ashlynn and Kaitlyn at princesses on ice. Do you think I could ever get a picture of Ash without a goofy smile on her face? Nope. Oh well.

We saw Ashlynn's friends Mckayla and Kylie there too. Ashlynn's cousin Bailee was there but Ashlynn wouldnt stand by her to get a picture with her.

I didnt get very good pics of the princess on ice but at least in this one you can see that it is Snow White

Onto our next event. This would be Austin and Halle's favorite thing to do. This time though, they decided to take an entire bag of goldfish up with them. It's kind of hard to see, but the fish were everywhere.

Austin and Halle are so funny together, but you cant take your eye off them for a second.

Next I have some good news (and although it looks like Im prego, that is not the news). I got released from scouts and was awarded this stick (sorry dont know the correct terminology). Awesome right. Not. It was my halloween attire for the night though.

Ashlynn was Dorothy this year for Halloween and Austin was a monkey. I had to tell them I would take them to McDonalds if they would wear there costumes.

And Mark dressed up as midgit Santa Claus this year. This picture doesnt do justice to what he really looked like.

These last pictures are of us making halloween cookies. This picture below is my favorite. You should have seen how many sprinkles were on this cookie that Brooklyn made. And she even ate it. It was awesome.

A Sad Day

I have been dreading this day for a while now. And it finally came. I know it sounds like devestating news (and I believe it is) but I just like to make it sound a lot more dramatic than it really is.
So last night Austin didnt want to go to bed so Mark had to put him to bed screaming. Well I was in the next room listening to Austin scream and about 30 seconds later I hear the door open. I think to myself, 'why did mark go in and get him. He never does that.' And so I look in the hall and there is Austin. He climbed out, opened the door, and came out.
Honestly, I am surprised it didnt happen sooner. Since this unfortunate event last night, Austin also woke up at 5:30 am this morning to greet me at the door. He has the 'getting out of the crib' thing down.
This morning when my mom got up, Austin pointed at the crib and said, 'I got out.' So now begins a whole new stage of how to get Austin to bed and more importantly how to get him to stay there.
Please somebody, tell me an EASY solution.

Austin has been so funny lately. He has all of a sudden started shortening words. He calls my dad Pa (used to be Papa) and I am Ma. It's so funny to hear it. He bumped his head today and came up to me crying so I asked him if he was okay, and he says in a mad voice, 'Ma kiss it'.

Today we were in the car and Austin said 'Knock Knock' (Ashlynn is into knock knock jokes so Austin has been taking note) so I say, 'whose there'. Austin says, 'bah' and I say 'bah who' And he says bah-who. It's suppose to be 'yahoo' but it was just so funny that he did it himself. I need to get it on video. He kind of says the 'hoo' part a little bit high pitched so it's even funnier.

Austin's obsession for lawn mowers is crazy. He got a lawn mower for his birthday but that wont do anymore. He likes to push Papa's. Every time he sees my dad he asks if he can mow the lawn. I think I'm in for a long winter, and it's not even here yet.

Ashlynn was playing with Brooklyn today and was wearing a ring, so Ashlynn asked Brooklyn if she wanted to wear anything pretty. Brook said, 'sure' and then Ashlynn said 'actually there is only one pretty thing, and I got it from my wedding. '

She has also been big into things that are special. I was trying to tell her that it was nice to share her things, but that she didn't have to share her blanket because that was something that was special to her. So now anytime she doesn't want to share she just says 'it's special'.

Ash came home from preschool the other day and I was asking her how it went and she said, 'We did home work and it was really boring.' Then she said 'it was hard. we had to color and my arm got tired'.

Ashlynn had Kaitlyn and Brooklyn come over this week and play, and they even got to sleepover. They had so much fun! And I gotta say, Kaitlyn and Brooklyn were the most well behaved kids. I hope Ashlynn was taking lessons (or maybe I should be taking parenting lessons). Anyway, we all had fun. We went swimming during the day, and then made caramel popcorn, and crowns for the kids. Thanks Kait and Brook for coming over!

Utah State Fair

So we went to the state fair with the kids, and it was so much fun. The kids loved it. And it was only $2 to get in. Except then we bought a fried twinkie and a fried snickers for $4 each so I guess we really didnt save much. Oh well. We really had fun!

First Day of Preschool

Ashlynn started preschool today. She was really excited to start school, until we started walking there and she decided she didnt want to go anymore. I stayed for a few minutes and then told her bye and she was fine. When I picked her up she told me it was fun and that she liked it. Anyway, I took some 'first day of school pics' just to make it official.

Austin really wanted to go to school with Ash. The whole time she was gone he kept asking where she was.

Austin turned two yesterday. He is the funniest little guy. I just love him to death. We had a little party for him yesterday. He loved all the presents that he got. There are a lot of pics but he just looks so cute so I put a lot of them on here. Happy Birthday Little Buddy! We love you so much!

Austin got some tools from Bailee, Tyson and Davis.

Grandma Sally and Papa gave him a lawn mower. He loves to mow the lawn with Papa. Last night when he opened his lawn mower he took off mowing. He even knows how to go up and down in lines like Papa.

Last night before he went to bed he put his lawn mower in the garage with Papa's and then he said 'na night lawn mower.' When he woke up this morning, he started playing with his other toys and then all of a sudden he looks at me and says' lawn mower, garage, get it'.

Blog Update # 5 - just some funny stories

Well this will be my last post for the night. Austin's birthday is in two more days and I probably wont blog about it for six more months. But I just wanted to write a few things about the kids so that I can remember them. I wish I would have written things down because there are so many funny things.

I'll start with Austin-

I asked Austin the other day if he was stinky and he said, 'no, farted.'

The other day Ash and Austin were playing and Ashlynn did something that made him mad and he said, 'I hate you Ashy.' The kid is not even two. Why do they learn these things.

Austin has the cutest little voice. Every time I ask him something or tell him something he says, 'Ok mama'.

My dad took Austin on a train ride (TRAX) and I asked him where he went with Papa and he said, 'train, papa, fun'.

I love that he is learning so much and he is saying everything. When we rock before bed, we always sing a song and I always ask him what he wants to sing and he says, 'temple'. He is just the cutest little boy.

Ashlynn-

The other day Ashlynn said to me, 'mom my responsibility is to wear this bracelet on my wrist'

The other day we were driving in the car and Ashlynn saw a guy in a car next to us and she says, 'how come that dad doesnt have to go to work? that's not fair. Why does our dad have to go to work.' She loves her daddy.

Well dang it, if only I would have written things down. I just cant remember anymore. So I guess that's it.

Here is Ashlynn at her birthday party! I cant believe she is 4. She is going to start preschool in a week and I am so nervous. She had so much fun at her little party and was so excited with all the cool stuff she got. I just love this little girl so much. She is the funniest little thing. She has the biggest imagination. For example, tonight she told me that sometimes when she goes in her room and closes her eyes to go to bed, she see stories in her eyes. Hmmmm...... We love you Ashy!

Blog Update #1 New Pictures

Since I haven't blogged forever, I am going to try and do as many posts as I can tonight since I am already doing it. I haven't been much in the blogging mood lately. So here is post #1.
Ashlynn and Austin's new pictures. Ashlynn was so cute when we went to get pictures. She just sat and smiled the entire time. She was so excited because the lady asked her to do the 'princess pose'. Austin on the other hand wasn't very good. No one could get him to smile. I think we got pretty good pictures considering. The only thing that would make Austin even do anything was when my mom told him he could play with the lawn mower when he got home if he would smile. Anyways, after the pictures I took the kids home and about a half hour later I took Austin's temp. and it was at 102. Poor kid.

So here are the pictures: Ashlynn is 4 and Austin is 23 months. Time flies when you're having fun!! Or going insane. Seriously how do people do it with more than 2 kids?

I just wanted to post some pictures of the kids. I was trying to get a cute picture of them but they weren't cooperating. And then I took a picture of Ashlynn's pictures that she drew. She drew a whale (which looks pretty good) and she said the other one was 'Ashlynn cinderella'. And then some pictures from the zoo. Katie and I went to the zoo and it was really fun. The weather was so good. I decided though that I am going to get a leash for Austin next time we go. I always said that I would never get a leash for my kids, but Austin is out of control. He wouldnt sit in the stroller or the wagon. He was all over the place. Crazy little boy.

Kids say the darndest things

Ashlynn has been on a roll with her conversations and the things she has been saying, and I dont want to forget them.It's just easier to write them all down in one place and on the blog so that I don't forget where I write them. So I might have a lot of conversation posts. I just love listening to little kids talk. They are so funny. So here are a few of Ashlynn's things:

Ashlynn was talking to my mom the other day and she said, "I'm almost four and my dad is my prince. He used to be my mom's prince, but then he became a daddy."

Then today she was coloring and she said, 'mom how do you spell frustrated?' She is into writing letters and spelling things, but it was funny that she wanted to spell that.

She has also been telling me lately that Austin is the rudest baby.

I just wanted to write a few things that Ashlynn has said lately. She has been funny.

Yesterday we were taking a nap and I was pretending to sleep so that she would go to sleep and I opened my eyes and she was right in my face and this is the conversation:

Ash: Mom, why do you have hair in your nose?
ME: because. Now go to sleep.
Ash: Do I have hair in my nose?
Me: No.
Ash: Why do you?
Me: You just get it when you get older.
Ash: I dont want hair in my nose mom.

She has been coming up with some good 'one liners'. She says to Austin, "Austin, you are the rudest baby." And then today she said, "Austin, you look hideous."

As for Austin, he is just still climbing and falling off of everything. He hasn't been injured quite as bad as Halle though. He is trying to say everything and it's pretty funny. He loves to bug Ashlynn all day long. It sure makes for a fun day!

These pictures are just some pictures from last summer. We were playing with Henry and Avery when Tara was up here last summer. Tara and I were laughing so hard at Ashlynn and Avery. I wish I had some pictures of Avery. They are so funny.

Well I wish things were more exciting but they arent.

Funny Kids

Well I dont really have too much to blog about but I just wanted to write a few things down that the kids have said.

Ashlynn was sitting in the room with my mom the other day and Ashlynn said, ' I sure like girls named Grandma Sally.'

She is also big into telling Austin to 'shut his mouth' which is hilarious when she says it, until she says it to me, then it's not so funny.

One more thing. Austin's big thing lately is putting toys in the potty. So the other day I find him and his monkey completely soaked with toilet water. Yummy... Anyway, it was kind of funny but gross too.

I wish I could remember the other things they have said but since they are both crying and whining and hanging on me I guess this will be it.

Dear Nanny 911

Dear Super Nanny-

Please help me! I dont know what to do with my little Austin. He is 16 months old and has never been a very good sleeper. I don't know what to do. I am desperate for help!
He has been getting up between one and three times a night and usually wont go back to bed. Since he hasnt been sleeping well anyway, we decided to take his binkey away and let him cry it out per doctor's suggestion. He will do good for a couple of nights (only getting up once and usually going back to bed) but recently he has been getting up, screaming, and wont go back to bed, waking everyone up.
I'm sure I have made my share of mistakes as a parent, but I dont know what else to do. Please, please help me.

So, I know I havent posted forever and this post is going to be kind of lame. But oh well.
Here's what's been going on with the kids-

Ashlynn is real big into fixing her own hair and wont let me do it at all (see picture below). She is still into picking out her own clothes too. It's an everyday battle. So, if you ever see us and wonder why we look like white trash, that might be why.
She has been really sweet though too. Through out the day she will just say, 'mom, I love ya, or mom I like ya.'
Her favorite movie right now is The Polar Express. The other day she was helping my mom put up Christmas decorations and she found a stocking with little tiny bells on it. And she started shaking it and she said, 'Grandma, I believe'. (From the Polar express). She cant wait for Christmas!

Austin is into everything. He climbs on everything. He has figured out that if he pushes the chairs around he can climb on the chair and then on to something higher. He wants everything he cant have (the laptop for example-one reason posting has been so hard). Oh ya, his other favorite toy is the toilet!
He still isnt a very good sleeper so I have excepted the fact that we will be up at 6 or 6:30 every morning. Oh well.
Austin loves books and knows what the dog, monkey and owl say. He is just starting to pick up little words. He loves waving and blowing kisses.

Well I guess that's it. More stories after Christmas!! TTFN

I feel like it has been forever since I have blogged. We went camping the last week of September with my dad's family. It was a lot of fun, except for when it was time for bed. Austin fell asleep for a few hours and then woke up and would not go back to bed so Mark took him home and Ashlynn and I stayed up with the rest of the family. Camping with kids is crazy.
We also made it to the pumpkin patch, or the 'pumpkin field' as Ashlynn calls it. She loved it. IT was pretty cold but it was fun. She kept saying to me, 'I wish the pumpkin boy would come clean the pumpkins so we could get more.'
We also started watching Ashlynn and Austin's cute cousin Lily a couple of days a week. And for some reason whenever Lily cries, Ashlynn tells her, 'It's ok Lily. We're not witches, we're nice people.' So funny.
Ashlynn has been so big into playing house lately. She likes to be the mom, Austin is the dad, Mark is the son and I am the sweetie. I asked her what the sweetie does and she said, 'the sweetie cleans.' Lucky for me. She was playing with her dolls the other day and told me to hold one and she said, ' sweetie, hold this doll. She's not fake.' The things she comes up with?
Austin has been such a funny little guy. He loves Ashlynn. He is so close to walking but since he can get places faster by crawling, he sticks to that. He is still not sleeping through the night and it's driving me crazy. I'm in for another few nights of 'crying it out'- again. Crazy little kid.

Things have been crazy. It's seems like we have been so busy, except I cant really say that we've done anything to exciting.
We have just been playing outside all day, going swimming and to the park. I guess that's whats been keeping us busy.
Ashlynn and Austin have been crazy lately. They are all over the place and it seems like I cant ever get anything done.
Austin is crawling all over the place and loves to be outside in the water. And Ashlynn is just getting funnier.

Nothing to exciting is going on. But here's what we've been doing:

We took a trip to the zoo with lots of cousins. It was crazy but so much fun! Ashlynn has been in to gardening and has been trying to help my mom with her flowers (scary).

Austin started crawling and is all over the place and into everything. He is getting tubes in tomorrow and I cant wait.

They both have been loving being outside and swimming! I hate days when we cant get outside!!

One more thing, Ashlynn has been adding 'ed' to the end of everything and it sounds so funny. She pronounces it like the name Ed. She has also learned the word 'stupid' and likes to say it with everything. Great! Why do they seem to pick up those things and not other things they should??? Kids...

If any of you used to listen to 1280 the zone, they use to do this thing on Wednesday where you could call in and say what bugs you.... well I know it's not Wednesday and i know most of you wont care, but I am so mad and blogging is the only thing I can think of right now to make myself feel better. So here it goes...

I was trying to clean up and as I picked up one of the toys to put in the bucket a freaking spider was on it. I hate those stupid things. Bugs, spiders, insects- their all the same... why cant they just stay outside like they are suppose to? Or better yet, why cant they all just die.. In my mind I like to think there is a special place in hell for them where they all burn. I hate them more than Kobe Bryant, and phil Jackson. I would give up my bad habbits of diet coke and mountain dew if I never had to see one again. They just make me want to swear.... I would rather spend money on killing the dang things than on groceries. i hate spiders so much. I swear they are of the devil.

Anyway, I am happy to say that we have the bug gods coming over to spray again so hopefully this will take care of them.

Ashlynn's cousins came over today and we went outside to play. They had so much fun jumping on the trampoline and riding bikes and playing in the house.

We took the kids to Jungle Jim's a while ago with our friends. Ashlynn had so much fun with her friend Sadie. It wouldn't have been so bad if Jungle Jims wasn't such a dirty place. Man somebody needs to clean the carpets and the bathrooms in there. And a few air fresheners would do wonders.

So I just wanted to write down a couple of things Ashlynn has said. Mostly so I can remember later on in life when I'm older (older than 30- that is so old.)

Anyway, so the other day I was going through some old maid cards with Ashlynn and I was asking her what the pictures were on the cards. She would say, 'baseball player, mailman, doctor' and all that. When I held up the old maid card and asked her who it was, she said 'abuela' (grandma in spanish). It was so funny. She watches Dora so I know thats where she got it from, but I thought it was funny.

One more thing. I'll just write the conversation between Mark and Ash.

Ash: Dad where are you going?
Mark: to work
Ash: Why
Mark: So I can make money for you.

So Mark comes home from work and Ashlynn asks Mark what he has in his pocket, and Marks says 'my wallet' and she said, 'what's in your wallet?' and Mark says 'money' and Ash says, 'for me?'
It's not that funny except that everyday now she asks me if dad is at work making money for her.

Oh ya, and on a good note, for two days now Ashlynn has let me pick her clothes and she even keeps them on. Still a fight with her hair, but one step at a time.

Does anybody else have a hard time getting your daughter to do what you ask? I swear me and Ashlynn fight at everything. Here's how the morning went today: Ashlynn woke up and was happy for about 5 minutes until Mark sat next to her. So she started crying. So Mark moved. Well then she wanted me to hold her and feed her oatmeal. Well I was making french toast so I told her no. So she freaked out even more. Plus she's old enough to do it herself. Then she needed to go to the bathroom and so I told her to go potty. Well I wouldn't carry her down to the bathroom so she was mad and wouldn't go potty and started crying even more. So Mark took her and got her calmed down. Then we went downstairs to get her dressed. I bought her like 6 new princess shirts and some sparkly pants so that she might get dressed. Anyway, I gave her like three outfis and told her to pick one. The outfit that she has on in the pictures is what we ended up with. None of the choices I had for her.
So I know this is turning into a big complaint (she peed her pants by the way because she wouldn't go potty) but I fight her over everything and I am tired of it. I know I don't have the best fashion sense (my most expensive shirt is a scout shirt after all) but I know what Ash has on looks awful. I'm just so frustrated. I know they say to pick your battles, and usually I just let Ashlynn go how she wants when we aren't going anywhere and sometimes when we are. It's just getting old and I don't know what to do. I need a manual for this parenting thing. I am just not cutting it..... aaaggghhh.... At least Austin is a good little boy and so happy!

Snake Tongue

When he was born they said that the thing under his tongue was a little bit short so I'm not sure if that contributes at all to his crazy tongue, but it just looks so crazy. A trip to Spokane

My mom and sisters and I decided to take a trip to Spokane and visit my sister and her kids.... So my mom took two of Ashley's kids and flew down on Thursday morning. My dad, Ashley and I and the other three kids drove down. I dont even have a word for the drive down... but the next day after we had all somewhat recovered, we decided that the drive was worth it. Ashlynn and Austin had fun playing with thier cousins. And it was fun to see Katie and Ryan's house.
We ended up splitting up the drive on the way home and stayed in Boise overnight on Monday and then finished the drive Tuesday. What a freaking drive... But we had a good time. It was fun to see all the kids together and to hang out with my mom and sisters. We are glad Katie and Ryan are moving back in a few months Yay!!!

Ashlynn was so excited to play dress-ups with Bailee. She woke up at 6:30 the morning after we got there and the first thing she said was, 'I want to go play dress-ups.

Well I really dont have much to say. We havent been doing much, but I thought I would post some pictures that I found anyway and a little bit about the kids. (I feel like my posts are so boring, I really need to improve my blogging skills. All the ones I read are so great.) I'm not fishing for compliments, I am just warning you that it might be boring to read.

Ashlynn is just up to the usual, singing princess songs all day, changing her clothes to something that has princesses on it (usually her p.j.'s) and messing up her hair after my attempt to fix it. Some of my favorite things that she says are 'wishwish' for licorice and 'liplips' for lipstick and 'wandywand' for candyland. She talks really well, but its funny to hear her say some things.

Austin is 6 months and finally sleeping through the night!!! He is getting so big. He weighs 17 lbs. and is in the 80th percentile for heighth. He is the happiest little guy ever.

I will try and get a video of Ash and Austin playing together. It is so cute. Austy loves Ash and gets so excited to play with her. It' so cute to watch them play.

That's all for now. By the way, does anyone know an easy way to get a 2 1/2 year old to sleep in a bed and not a crib? And Katie, how is the whole room sharing going?

Mark is the greatest! He is so good to the kids and they love him so much! He is so good to me too and I am so happy to be married to him. He puts up with a lot from me. He is so sweet to me and is just always trying to make me happy. He makes me want to be a better person. I'm so glad to be married to him and have him as my husband and him as a father for my kids. Love you baby.

Well we have a billion pics from vacation and the best ones were taken by our friends that we went with. Anyway, I will have to do two posts about vacation.
The cruise was great! It was so relaxing, even though the chocolate bar that they had absolutely sucked. Most of the food did, but I still have no regrets. It was great. We went to Cozumel and Cayman Islands. It was so warm and so good to get away from this crappy snow.

The photographer on our cruise ship would come around each night and take pictures of us as couples and then individually so Mark and Blake would make the funniest faces. He finally stopped taking their pictures. They wanted $12.95 for one picture so we just took a picture of our pictures.

Mark was really worried that he would get sun burned while we were at the Cayman Islands so he took extra precautions to make sure he was safe. Never mind that he looks like a crazy man.

We went snorkeling and swimming with the sting rays in Grand Caymen. This is just a picture of our boat ride to the place.

So I have been trying to get some new pictures of Ashlynn and a video of Austin to post but I cant seem to record Austin and make him laugh at the same time- unless you want a blurry video (even worse than I usually do) and Ashlynn will not let me take any pictures of her.
So until I get some new pictures I'll just let you know what's been going on:

Ashlynn has started going pee in the potty! She is doing really well. She hasnt gotten the #2 down yet but hopefully that will come. She got a new barbie dress and between that and her princess p.j.'s that is all she will wear. Her favorite movie right now is Hairspray and she asks me to fix her hair like Tracy on hairspray. Funny little girl.

Austin is four months now. He still isn't sleeping through the night yet, but he's getting better. I can get him to laugh so easily and it is so cute. He is a really good baby. He just started eating cereal and vegetables and he loves them.

Well Christmas was a lot of fun this year! Ashlynn got lots of princess things. We taped Christmas so I'll have to take some pictures of her playing with her new toys and post them later.
Austin got a stuffed Elmo which Ashlynn thinks is hers, and Mom and dad got a cruise to the Carribean in February! We cant wait.
Santa was good to us this year! We hope everyone had a good Christmas.

Well I tried to get some pictures of the kids to send out Christmas cards and it didnt go that well. So I most likely wont send one out. Bah Humbug. I'm going to give it one more shot but if I cant get a good picture we might just have to do Valentine's day cards. Here are a couple of pictures from round one of picture taking.

I have some funny stories about Ashlynn. She seems to pick up a new word every week. This weeks word is 'wowzers'. Dont know where she learned it but it's funny.

A few weeks a go I went to Toys R Us with Ashlynn and my mom. Ashlynn found this Cinderella doll that she liked so I let her carry the box around in the store. We left it there and then a few days later I went back to get it. Well I left it in the car and she saw the box and said 'I want my Cinderella doll'. She didnt even see the doll just the bottom of the box. Well I finally wrapped it and I am keeping the presents at my moms house. Today we were over there and she saw the presents all wrapped and she points to the one that is her Cinderella doll and she says, 'Oh look my Cinderella dolls in there.'

One more story. I have been asking Ashlynn what she wants Santa to bring her for Christmas but she usually never says what she wants. I didnt think she really got the whole 'Santa' thing but the other day she told me that she wanted a horse and I said, 'You do' and she looked at me all excited and said, 'hey maybe santa will bring it.' Too bad he's not bringing one.

My cousin Tara came up from Houston for Thanksgiving. It's been so much fun! Ashlynn met her cousins Henry and Avery. We got some cute pictures but of course we couldnt get them all looking at the same time.

I am so excited for Christmas this year. Ashlynn will be so much fun! It's just as exciting as when I was a kid and I couldnt wait to open my presents.
I bought her a Cinderella doll and left it in the car. Well she saw it in the bag and she says in her funny little voice, 'Oh my Cinderella doll.' She is so funny. The thing is- when she opens it on Christmas she will remember that she saw it in the car. Good thing she doesnt get the whole Santa thing yet.
One more funny thing about Ash, when we are driving home at night she looks out her window 'and she says, 'Look the moon is coming with us.' It's so fun to hear her talk and try to work new words that she has learned into sentences. She is so funny!

Well Austin is getting bigger but he doesnt take pictures like Ashlynn. One of these days I'll get a picture of him actually smiling though. He laughed the other day it was so cute. We love our little Austin.

Ashlynn has been so funny lately. I heard her on her phone the other day saying, 'Oh I dont have any parents."
Then I asked her if she would pick up her toys and she said 'no' so I asked her if I should throw them away and she said 'yes'.
She got a princess chair and a Cinderella outfit that she absolutely loves.
I just love Ash. She is such a sweetie! I cant wait for Christmas!!! She will be so excited for her presents I'm sure.

I tried to get Ashlynn to sing the song from Cinderella (A dream is a wish) but she was kind of distracted so I only got her to sing some of it. She has a great voice! Just listen to her hit the high notes.

Halloween

Okay, so these aren't the best pictures of Ashlynn and Austin's halloween costumes, but they'll work. They both looked so cute!! Just to make sure you all know what they were, Ashlynn was a witch and Austin was a monkey. We made it trick or treating to about three houses which was fine with us. Ashlynn was happy with the sucker that she got at the first house so we could have stopped then. She hasnt really caught on to what Halloween really is yet. She loved being a scary witch. Austin pretty much hated wearing his costume, but at this age he doesnt have a choice.

The special costume award goes to Mark. The pictures speak for themselves!!!!!!! At least he won best costume at his work and he got a $50 gift card to Good Wood BBQ restaurant.

We went to Gardner Village to see the witches and pumpkins. Ashlynn didnt really care for the witches but she loved the pumpkins.

The other picture is of Ashlynn. She fell asleep in the car so I asked Ryan to just bring her in the house in her carseat so she wouldnt wake up. She was completely out of it.

I think this blog will be more of a journal for me, mostly so I can remember what funny things Ashlynn and Austin are doing.
We'll start with Ashlynn. Her favorite movie is Nemo. The other day she was watching it and Marlin (Nemo's dad) was talking to Nemo and she said to me, 'Mom, he's talking to his son huh'. She is pretty funny. Her favorite phrase right now is 'of course'. She just got a new bed, which she thinks is a toy, but she loves it! Here are a few pictures of her in her new bed.

Austin is starting to smile. His favorite buddy is Halle. He is a good little baby! Yahoo! Maybe he can teach Halle a few tricks of how to be happy. Any way here are some pictures of Austin.
