Camping, the pumpkin patch and other random stuff

I feel like it has been forever since I have blogged. We went camping the last week of September with my dad's family. It was a lot of fun, except for when it was time for bed. Austin fell asleep for a few hours and then woke up and would not go back to bed so Mark took him home and Ashlynn and I stayed up with the rest of the family. Camping with kids is crazy.
We also made it to the pumpkin patch, or the 'pumpkin field' as Ashlynn calls it. She loved it. IT was pretty cold but it was fun. She kept saying to me, 'I wish the pumpkin boy would come clean the pumpkins so we could get more.'
We also started watching Ashlynn and Austin's cute cousin Lily a couple of days a week. And for some reason whenever Lily cries, Ashlynn tells her, 'It's ok Lily. We're not witches, we're nice people.' So funny.
Ashlynn has been so big into playing house lately. She likes to be the mom, Austin is the dad, Mark is the son and I am the sweetie. I asked her what the sweetie does and she said, 'the sweetie cleans.' Lucky for me. She was playing with her dolls the other day and told me to hold one and she said, ' sweetie, hold this doll. She's not fake.' The things she comes up with?
Austin has been such a funny little guy. He loves Ashlynn. He is so close to walking but since he can get places faster by crawling, he sticks to that. He is still not sleeping through the night and it's driving me crazy. I'm in for another few nights of 'crying it out'- again. Crazy little kid.

Austin-

You are finally one! Yay! You are the busiest little guy. You love getting into things. You love emptying out all the drawers in the kitchen and playing in the toilet. You love to play with cars and trucks.
You are so much fun. We love you buddy!

Aspen Grove

Aspen Grove was our favorite place growing up. Anyway we went there with my dad's family a few weeks ago. It rained so we didn't do a whole lot and we didn't stay very long but it was still fun and the kids had a really good time.

Happy Birthday Ashlynn

Ashlynn-

I cant believe you are three. You are the funniest little girl and we just love you to death. Your favorite things are Cinderella and Princesses, Barbie and your scooter. You love to play around the house and sing, and we love to listen to it. You love being outside riding your scooter, or swinging at the park.
You are really big into using manners right now and when you ask for something you say, 'but mom I asked nicely' or 'but I used good manners.'
You say some of the funniest things like, 'mom look at me- I'm a human.' I love when you pick up new words and try to put them into sentences.
You are such a good big sister to Austin. You love getting his clothes and getting him dressed.
Daddy and I love you so much. You are the sweetest little thing and we cant imagine what it would be like without you. We are so glad you are 'our little princess'. We love you!!!

Crazy Kids- Crazy Summer

Things have been crazy. It's seems like we have been so busy, except I cant really say that we've done anything to exciting.
We have just been playing outside all day, going swimming and to the park. I guess that's whats been keeping us busy.
Ashlynn and Austin have been crazy lately. They are all over the place and it seems like I cant ever get anything done.
Austin is crawling all over the place and loves to be outside in the water. And Ashlynn is just getting funnier.
Here are some of Ashlynn's latest comments:

She went the bathroom the other day

Ashlynn: Dad, what's in my poo
Mark: Just stuff Ashlynn
Ashlynn: Are they crumbs

Then the other day she said to me:

'mom be quiet. You're going to wake up my children.'

She has been so funny. She loves to listen to Hannah Montana and she just belts out the songs. I wish she would let me record her.

Anyways, this last video is of Austin on the slip and slide. It's not very good but Austin absolutely loves it.
